Youth Philanthropy Junior Advisory Council

What is J.A.C.?

J.A.C. or the Junior Advisory Council is a group of high school students who are interested in learning about philanthropy and giving back to the community.  Members have a desire to volunteer, learn leadership skills, voice opinions on important youth issues, work with community youth to make decisions on grants of money for programs that benefit youth.

J.A.C members donate their time to projects throughout the community including Reading is Fundamental (RIF), Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Shop with a Cop, the Daddy/Daughter Ball, caroling at local nursing homes, Brown Mansion Christmas light tours, and much more.

J.A.C. supports nonprofit organizations helping young people in the community by awarding grants to youth centered projects each year. Organizations who have received funds in the past include Children’s Summer Theater, Coffeyville Skate Park, Shop with a Cop, Community Elementary Multicultural Field Trip and many more.

J.A.C. is currently under the direction of Kari Vannoster Price.
